Works are underway on a $10million rejuvenation project on Pinjarra Road, one of the main entry roads into Mandurah.
The works being done are addressing the deterioration of the road, and returning the condition of the pavement to an acceptable standard for a city of our size.
As a major entry road, Pinjarra Road plays a pivotal role for our road network, and business community.
The roadworks project will be staged over several years, as funding permits, with the project area running the stretch of Pinjarra Road from Dower Street to the City Centre, improving connectivity for our community.
The City has started the roadworks from Dower Street through to Anstruther Road, which will include road reconstruction, resealing and stormwater drainage improvements. Additional funding will be sought from the State Government to expand the project along the length of Pinjarra Road, to eventually tie into Sholl Street.
Road safety is also a focus of the project, with a review of the Pinjarra/Anstruther Road intersection in response to the number of crashes which occur at this signalled intersection.
The City acknowledges the disruption to community, especially our local businesses, and thanks everyone for their patience during the delivery of this important project.
